Can anyone help me please? We have to go to a funeral in Sheffield next Frid and will need a room for five of us in the Meadowhead area, haven`t got a clue how to start looking, must be reasonable price!

Have you tried the AA's website ? It has a hotel finder which I've found quite useful.

How close do you need to be? There is a Travel Inn in Chesterfield, near to the the A61 which is a dual carriageway straight to Meadowhead.

You need Hulababy!! She lives in Sheffield.

I have also used The Beauchief Hotel before and it's nice. They often have offers on their room rates too.

Thanks everyone,
Tried all the chains, won`t allow more than four in a room and two rooms too expensive, looked on the net as there are offers for Premier Lodge but nothing available, need something around £60!Inc breakfast!

Only just seen this; will have a think and get back.

Hulababy · 09/03/2004 15:07

Would you be prepared to take 2 rooms? Maybe you have one or two in with you, the other in with your DH?

And are you limited to the Meadowhead area? Or can you drive somewhere?

And is it for the Thursday or Friday night?

Hulababy · 09/03/2004 15:28

Also, have you considered a guest house instead. There should be plenty just on the edges of Sheffield, towards the peak district. A guest hous e is probably more likely to allow you to have an extra body in the family room, but you might not get an extra bed!

Hi all,
Thanks but husband has decided to go alone, too much hassle! I had tried several guest houses and they all wantes over £90 just too much, we are broke!
