Pre-baby - about 8 to 10 depending on size and relative intellectual 'heaviness'

With a nearly one year old, I took 4, read one and a bit...

Go to a charity shop - you'll be able to pick up loads for cheap so you won't mind if you leave them behind or bring them home. Plus you're donating to charidee

I take one for every two days, then run out and read all of DH's too.

Def take charity ones and spread them around - I remember ages ago going to an all-inclusive in Tunisia and the (one) English-as-first-lang member of staff practiaclly begged to read every book as I finished with it, so I ended up leaving her most of them on the condition she passed them on afterwards!

I took 5 on a 14 night stay and managed 3.5. But days were filled with sailing and tennis when not with the children, so thought I did quite well really. I read "Daniel isnt talking"- a good read, a Kathy Reichs -bit dull, and a jody Picoult about a 30something yr old finding out that sje'd been abducted by her dad and given a new identity...excellent. I got half way through "Gone with the Windsors" which was great entertainment too.
