Booking complication on Easyjet. Anyone with experience of advice please?

I'm trying to book for DH to fly out three days before us, the children and I then fly out and all four of us come home on the same day.
I can't seem to get all that on one booking though.
Am I doing something wrong or is that how it works with Easyjet perhaps?

It's how it works.

Select DH as a return on his dates, then it gives you the option to book additional flights once his dates are selected.
