we will be flying to milan monpensa then train to central station, where would it be best to stay for 2 nights ? i would like a reasonably budget hotel, walking distance to a few tourist attractions and a park and a few budget places to eat, can anyone offer me advice please?

I stayed at the starhotel Ritz. Amazing location. Everything in walking distance and brilliant food but im not sure how child friendly youd call it. We were worried about the cost of eating out. We found a great place called brek. Great for budget. It's a concept id not seen before. Self service kind of crossed with posh food hall and different stations for different kinds of food google it.

I forgot to say that was the hotel I was allocated on a lastminute.com top secret deal. It was the cheapest way I found of getting something decent close to the station.

Friends did a similar trip with their DC and the thing the DC loved most of all was a visit to the Magnum ice-cream factory. Sod all the culture was their motto, apparently. it's called the Magnum Pleasure Store.
