Take your babies/children to the Tate Modern

hello

just thought id let you in on my cheap day out, myself and a group of mums take our babies 6 - 11 months to the Tate Modern.

We take a pack lunch, meet at Waterloo, walk along the river taking in the sights, eat our lunch and then go into the Tate. The babies love it, my dd has been twice and really enjoyed herself.... she especially liked Picasso (only joking) she enjoyed the visuals, I let her sit on the ground infront of the displays and they all had fun. After we all had a cup of tea in the cafe there then got back on the trains before the rush hour. Each time our babies have been so tired they all slept well that night.
In all I spent £5 not inc my packed lunch.

Myself and these mums always think of cheap days out. Any other cheap ideas would be welcome.

The sluglet loves the Tate. She especially loves running around the turbine hall and opening and closing the drawers and cupboards in one of the displays.
