Any recommendations for holiday in France with 3 and 1 year olds?

I have been thinking that somewhere where we have our own detached accommodation but access to things like a pool, childrens playground, sandpit etc might be good. Maybe a farm with outbuildings or something similar? I don't want anything too busy or noisy but 3yo DS really likes having company now, so somewhere where there might be other young families would be good, but where we can also do our own thing, visit places, shut the door at night and not feel crowded.

Any recommendations of specific places or ideas about websites I can consult? I'm very open to suggestions as to location!

We enjoyed domaine de peyrecaty in the dordogne, sounds like it might fit the bill. There are reviews on here if you want to investigate further.

Labigorre.com is just like that.

Hi we have just booked to go with Eurocamp to La Croix de Vieux Pont in Berny-Riviere which is an hour from Paris. The site has a lake, 4 swimming pools and restaurants. It has outdoor playgrounds and sandpits I believe. We are going for 10 nights in June which has cost £450 for me, DH and DS (15 months) in a 2 bedroom mobile home.

You get all your baby kit included free like rental of cots, highchairs, safety gates, etc free which I thought was good.

Here?

This was a total hit for us last year - took our daughter (then 4)

When my kids were younger we always used to do holidays through Eurocamp or Keycamp. It was always great fun and there is a great variety of places you can go.

Also if you want some peace and quiet for a few hours they do a kids club which is always handy.

We went to Chateaux Les Eaux with 4 yr olds and a baby. Loved it. Booked through Les Castels, stayed in one of their "chalets". Lovely area and not too far.

Logis Du Pressoir in the Loire is fabulous! Really nice accommodation, fenced pool. outdoor play stuff, bonding with the other parents in dressing gowns at the bread van in the morning. The owners are English and really friendly. Linky

THe vendee in June. Jut the best for small children holidays. Have fond memories of it.

Montengrand down near the Pyrenees.

Farm with 4 cottages, so able to cook for yourselves and eat on private terrace or indoors. But they would bring fresh bread and croissants every morning (our 3yo loved looking out for their arrival!) and could provide homemade meals just for reheating if you couldn't be bothered cooking. Animals to visit, walks in the grounds, gorgeous pool with outdoor cooking/eating area, teepee and big lawn. Toy box and DVDs in each house. Benefits of communality but could retreat to own house whenever you wanted.

Close to a beautiful town called Mirepoix which we went to for market day, ice creams etc. they arranged bike hire with trailer and there was a fab flat bike path that went for miles.

Perfect holiday with our 3.5yo and 11mo.

We went to La Vallee in Normandy with a 4 year old & an eighteen month old. There were 3 pools - covered, open air & toddler & it was near to nice sandy beaches. The following year we went to Chateau Lez Eaux which had a great indoor pool/water park.

La belle tranche through eurocamp. Near La Rochelle. Small, very friendly site with one pool, near beach, play park and kids club. We took our 4 and 1 year olds there and it was ideal for that age group. Lots to do in the area too.

We were at Le Pavillon de St. Agnan 2 years ago. What a find. Grin
Small scale holiday park in the Dordogne, France. English spoken, very friendly owners.
