Anyone been to Turkey?

Haven't been on holiday for 2 years and looking to book a week away for us and our 5 year old daughter. Has anyone been to Turkey and would you recommend it? We are thinking of going to the Paloma Club Sultan in Ozdere all inclusive for a week. Never been to Turkey so any recommendations welcome!

Looking for somewhere with a nice pool, near to a sandy beach, all inclusive and preferably with a kids club.

Thanks
Michelle

been to turkey - its cheap enough without having to go all inclusive - but then i hate AI it destroys local business, puts restaurants out of business - and i think its like butlins,,,,with sun

i have just booked near olu deniz 400 quid for two adults

We have to go in August so will cost substantially more than that I am afraid!

I love Turkey, we used to live out there. It is a beautiful country, very family oriented.

Personally I wouldn't go all inclusive as there are so many lovely places to eat out and about and it is very good value for money out there. We always book a private apartment or villa, it can be a lot cheaper than going AI if you book separately too.

If you do want to go AI make sure you go for a good quality hotel, it will be expensive but budget AI hotels are really not worth the money. Have a look at WOW in Bodrum, that is an excellent hotel.

We went here last year with a 3yo and 6yo and had a great time. Would highly recommend.

I went to Paloma Club Sultan about 9 years ago. It was a nice all inclusive hotel. The beach was lovely and the transfer time about 30 minutes. There was a nice mix of nationalities which I prefer to all Brits. My DC were 16,4 and 6. We didn't use the kids club but there were lots of children in the pool and all three of my children found others to play and mix with. The slides were good but maybe for slightly older children than your 5 year old. We went during the six week school holidays. It is quite a loud resort, animation during the day and entertainment in the evening. We went the day after the school broke up and it was very hot as you would expect. I'd probably rate the hotel about 7.5 out of 10. We have mixed age children and it did work well for us as my older son made lots of friends, many he is still in contact with.
