In desperate need of inspiration for our summer holiday so am looking to pinch ideas/hear what others have done before.
We're a family of 4 - 2 ds (will be 5 and 7), have approx £2k to spend on booking somewhere and then a little extra for spends. The only criteria we have are:
- Somewhere fun for ds's
- Somewhere that offers a few activities to keep boredom levels low (my days of lying on the beach for days on end are over for a few years)
- Not too touristy
- UK based or Europe (don't mind flying, ferry, tunnel or driving)
- Ideally a week to 10 days away in the middle of the summer holidays
So any ideas anyone? For various reasons we tend not to use Kids clubs on holiday so while we wouldn't rule out places that offer this, it isn't something we'd be that interested in.
