Anyone been to kinderhotels in the summer?

Me, dh 2 dc aged 11 and 5 and my mother are looking for a holiday.
I am not much of a beach and pool personal thought he dc love it.
Are the kids clubs any good?
It all sounds marvellous, but am a bit wary....
Thoughts?

I agree that they look fab - and on my to do list. My one concern is that everyone will only speak german. I know other MNetters have been though so I am interested too.....

Yes that's my worry really.
I speak tourist German but that's it.
Worried the kids would get the only English kids there....
