I know there's another post already but we definitely want to go to Tuscany but need recommendations of family friendly place to stay if anyone has any please?

Need to be close to Florence and need to not have to take out second mortgage to be there !

DC are 3 and 6 and looking to take DPs too to split cost with.

Any suggestions please???!

Thank you!

What kind of accommodation are you looking for Somermummy1?

Considering all options so don't mind if self catering or hotel or villa or agric. Etc.

child friendly and location is the priority !

We stayed in an agriturismo in Foiano della Chiana last summer, had a fabulous week (and I cried when we came home!) - la spiga d'Oro - www.booking.com/hotel/it/la-spiga-d-oro.en-gb.html?aid=311076;label=la-spiga-d-oro-PtPPPoSwcYRfAvqDQC_ztAS4710063390%3Apl%3Ata%3Ap1%3Ap2%3Aac%3Aap1t1%3Aneg;sid=fad3bbcbeeef4959aa7dfa56166d92fa;dcid=1;srfid=7258e6d57678e757e68e15582c480c96c5e629f6X1

Location was about an hour from Florence but perfect for lots of the Tuscan rolling hills and drives into Umbria.

We stayed here: www.ownersdirect.co.uk/italy/IT4507.htm

It is really beautiful. You need a car as it is in the countryside but you can reach everywhere easily. We went to Florence as well as loads of other places.
