Tube travel help & things to do before evening 02 gig London in April.

Booked a Travelodge in Docklands mid April ready for 02 concert that evening, but unsure whether to park up at family in Harrow (on the hill) and tube in, drop luggage at Travelodge, or just drive straight to the Travelodge which has parking included.

Have to pay £13 extra (with VAT) for noon check in at Travelodge, otherwise it's 3pm check in.

Can't remember the last time I was in London so no idea which is the cheapest ticket deal for two adults if we do the parking up at Harrow option.nalso means we'd need to tube back to Harrow the following day to collect the car.

That's the travel query.

Now, if we get into London by about midday, we are hoping to see a few things before the concert later that evening, and think we'd like to see an art gallery probably the Portrait. Again, wondering how to access that from base at the Docklands Travelodge, tube or bus or even taxi.

Or any other recommendations? Don't want to do too much before the concert.

Lastly, can anyone recommend somewhere good to get a decent all day breakfast near the Docklands Travelodge!! as the hotel breakfast is poor plus it's a birthday break and don't want to get up too early Blush.

Thankyou :)

Whatever you do, don't drive into central London! Don't know exactly where the Travelodge is, but chances are it's near either Canary Wharf or Canada Water tube stations (Jubilee line direct to Westminster or Waterloo, both easily walkable to the Portrait Gallery) or a DLR station which would take you to Canary Wharf or Tower Gateway then you get Tube to Embankment.
Greenwich is lovely to walk around and there are places for good breakfasts - DLR to Cutty Sark from wherever you are.
Have a lovely time.

Tube from Harrow to Docklands would be around 8 quid. Valid all day though, til 4am.

I suggest u do the Emirates cable car over the Thames. You can do a return trip from the 02 and the views on a good day are lovely.

I answered the tube travel query in some detail yesterday.

for good breakfasts when staying in hotels, find the nearest supermarket with a cafe!
