blue lagoon resort, kos - any views?

Has anyone had experience of Blue Lagoon resort in Kos, with kids (ours are primary school age)? I can't tell the difference between the 2 family room options they offer on the Thomson website except that one costs more - if anyone has been and can give insight on location, facilities etc of the two bedroom family rooms that would be great. It looks like one lot of family rooms are further away - which could be good if the others are right by a karaoke bar or something - or not if they end up being miles from everything?

Hi, we went to Akti palace last october which is just down the road from the blue lagoon resort...we took a wander one eve thro the blue lagoon and it's Massive, really massive! From what we saw it looked well kept, still majorly busy in oct and very pretty but has a sewerage problem in that we could smell it from before you got there and for quite a while after but thst may have been a prob for just the week we were there, I think trip advisor is invaluble when you are looking for holidays, have you had a look there yet ? Akti palace by the way was wonderful, excellent kids club (evening too so you can enjoy a drink while the kids are being entertained!) Good food and branded drinks on an all inc package & lovely . accom. Good luck & hope you have an amazing holiday :)

You were very helpful thanks. It always helps to hear something first hand :) especially where sewage stinks involved! Yes have looked at tripadvisor, but couldn't find any info mentioned about the different types of family room, will think about signing in and asking someone direct on there.

Had actually been looking at one of the Akti ones, think it was the Akti beach club which is next to the one you mentioned, will look again. Many thanks
