Those of you who know Nerja well - what is the name of the area near the beach to the East of the town?

Have been to Nerja a couple of times but not recently. We fancy looking for something just off the beach in the Easterly direction (but still just out of the town IYKWIM). Any idea if that area has a name to make it easier looking for accommodation please?

I was going to say Burriana Beach. We've stayed in a lovely apartment there, second row back from the beach, so no steep climb up the hill. We booked through this company - Gill Johnson Holiday villas. It was back in 2007, but they might still be in operation!

Yes it's Burriana Beach. Love Nerjs, was married there.

Is it mainly villas there? Or are there any family hotels? Could do with some entertainment etc for 5 year old.

Riu Monica is a family hotel , kids club , mini disco etc
