Anyone been to Lisbon /cascais/Sintra area of Portugal for a holiday?

Had it down as a potential summer holiday but don't really know much about the area and what it is like?
We like places where we can have a bit of a walk around/marina's /café culture -have enjoyed Puerto Pollensa , Soller, St Maxime and St Raphael area's in the past.

I went to Estoril and Cascais last summer and really liked it. Lively beach, some history, culture and architecture and not too many other English people! Cascais also had a train station from which you can get into Lisbon easily and cheaply. Hope that helps!

Yes! I went to Lisbon (20mins train away) for 2 weeks in the summer. It was fantastic.

We stayed in an apartment that we found on www.ownersdirect.co.uk website.

Found travelling on the train to Lisbon and Cascais was so easy and cheap.

Would definitely recommend especially as flying to Lisbon on easyjet is one of the cheapest flights :-)
