Going there for the last week of April - v.v.cheap caravan site (well chalet as the caravans had no heating and the lady wouldn't let me book with a toddler for april in case he got cold, bless her) - £85 for the week, for all of us including dog! Probably going to be dreadful, but we had to go that week as there is a christening we have to go to in Cambridge on the last Sunday.
Anyway, any recommendations for things to do? If the weather is lovely we'll spend lots of days on the beach, but April.,.. so especially suggestions for rainy days welcomed.
Thank you in advance!
Miranda.

the sealife centre in great yarmouth is good and its open 365 days a year! useful for horrible rainy days. its on the sea front. fritton lake countryworld is ok if the weather is fine. i think it should be open by april. lowestoft has good donuts on the seafront and quite a big but not too busy soft play thing in the tourist info place also on seafront. in white plastic looking pavillion! there is the suffolk wildlife park near lowestoft. southwold and walberswick on coast are lovely. excellent swim pool at bungay. sorry for list like message. am typing while my baby feeds!! have a great time. ps norwich is lovely.

took ds to sea life centre and he loved it. Will second Southwold and Walberswick as both great. Think there is Wildlife park near lowestoft called Kessingland, also Minsmere Wildfowl park/reservation at Dunwich.(Check \linkrspb.org.uk./reserves/guide/minsmere/index.asp{} Pleasurewood hills theme park is good for rides etc. Was when I was kid anyway.

Have fun!

You could also go into Cromer and have lovely fish and chips yum yum yum (have rumbly belly thinking about lovely fish and chips !!)

The Marina Centre has a swimming pool with a wave machine and it is very shallow up one end, also there is a separate small pool for children up to 4 years. There is the Hollywood cinema up the seafront and opposite it is Joyland, with rides for young children.
There is MBs in Hemsby which also has an indoor play area. Pettitts adventure park is also good for younger children.

www.dinosaurpark.co.uk/

This is my favourite place in Norfolk - been the last couple of years. Kids love it and both times we've been in October, so weather not brill.

They have dinosaur trails/little Farm area/Pets corner where kids can handle rabbits/guinea pigs etc.

There is a sea life ctr in Great Yamouth which is very good. There are always tickets/vouchers on Ebay, I have one at \linkcgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem=2237213467{}here

If you are heading towards Lowerstoft, there is the Oulton Broad animal park (can't remember it's name) - very small and good for toddlers (and cheap !) - took my tribe (1 x 2yr 8m, and 2 x 14months) - kept them happy for quite a while. Has goats, chickens, rabbits, snakes, parrots among other things.

Pettits Adventure park is also good, but bigger.
