Dubai holiday in march - 2 kids!

We are looking to go to Dubai in march. We will have a nearly 3 year old and a 6 month old. Looking to relax and spend time together so not bothered about kids clubs. How do we get a cheap deal? Never understand where to book cheap holidays as whenever I look they seem to be about £3k for a week!

I dont think Dubai does "cheap`' tbh. The hotels are pretty glitzy, 5 gold camels and riders adorning the driveway at ours and a pool to die for) and the flights are 6 hours. Not sure if it is a Ryanair type destination either as Dubai works hard on its image. Also, March is the height of the horse racing season there with the Dubai World Cup so prices likely to be high and I would have thought that flights were, by now, relatively expensive. Could you go in the late Autumn or save up for next year? I still think you will struggle to get the price down much though for 4 of you because standards are universally high. Egypt, Florida and Morocco would all be cheaper I suspect.

Just looked at BA website. Abu Dhabi is a lot cheaper but most hotels have only breakfast included. These start at £500+ pp for 7 nights so a bit more reasonable.

Thanks Milly. I went to Dubai about 7 years ago and stayed at the Al Qasr. That was when I was only paying for myself though so guess I am finding it hard to accept that paying for a family is so much more and maybe being unrealistic! Agree Dubai is about the luxury, prob no fun on a budget. Reason for going was weather really. Warm for baby and just time as a family. Not bothered about sights etc as main aim is relaxing in warm weather and just being together, not trips etc. have been to morocco but only backpacking years ago.

Travel Republic may be worth checking out. They have loads of different flights which seem to be about £400 each for direct but rubbish times. Then you choose what star hotel you want and on what board basis and you can add on transfers at the end.
