Where does your toddler sleep when he outgrows the travel cot?

My toddler is 17 months old and I don't think he will fit in his travel cot for much longer. We go away quite a bit and I have no idea where he should sleep. I think he is too young to sleep in a hotel bed. Any ideas?

Ds is 2.4 and still sleeps in a travel cot, he is quite tall for his age too.

I would have thoguht you have a while longer, or is he trying to get out?

Babydan travel cots are very long. DD still comfortable in it at 2.4.
Graco one too small months ago

He's not trying to get out yet. There is only about 6" or so between his feet and the bottom. He's still growing fast and is tall for his age too.

We have a Mamas & Papas travel cot, I think it is a standard size one. I think it's last another few months, hopefully until our holiday in September.

How about a readybed with sides,ds loves his .Argos do them I think.

MumtoBen · 23/07/2006 22:02

Thanks for the tips. I have had a look in the Argos catalogue and the ready beds look good.

Our travel cot is 101cm length and my son is probably about 85cm already and sleeps with a pillow, so no wonder he's nearly out of room!

we have a winnie the pooh ready bed from mini-marvellous, DS loves it.

he says "winnie is smiling at angus" everytime he gets in

My ds has a readybed too - marvellous invention imo! His is Thomas the Tank - we got it last Christmas in Boots sale for £15. Tesco have them at the moment as well but they are £30. My dd (8) has a Groovy Chick one.
