Place to break M1 journey nr Leicester?

Am travelling with a 3 yr old from London to York. We want to break the journey. I figured Leicester was about half way. Is there anywhere good for letting off steam around there?

If you are travelling on the M1 and aren't looking for a restaurant, go off the motorway at J22 and head for Bradgate Park at Newtown Linford. It was originally a deer park and has toilets/small shop + parking so is fine for a picnic
