Nice hotel in Barcelona?

We are going to Barcelona as a couple in May. Does anyone know a nice hotel, preferably with a pool? We are there for 3 nights. Thanks in anticipation.

I am sitting in the bath at the W hotel in Barcelona as we speak. Pricey but really great. It is more like a beach than a city hotel. We have been to barcelona a few times now so we are relaxing rather than sightseeing this time. We usually stay in the H10 Itaca. It is in the business district so a little way from the sights but is v close to the tube so you can get everywhere you need to. It has a pool, is fantastic value and the breakfast is to die for.

Thanks for the advice. I will look into both of those hotels.

catedral hotel is fab,
stayed last summer with my dh.
its very central, just by the cathedral. lovely views from the pool on the roof.
most comfortable bed I've ever slept in.

I've stayed in the catedral one too - would also recommend it!
