Hi we are going to France for a short break and this time I will not be driving. Our son will be 4 months by then, as we will be taking occasional taxis should I bring our car seat and base with us? It is very large & will be a pain to carry round but I can't see any other way around this. Help please!

moominbaby, you can take both, when you check in they will then send you to the "large" items check in desk, where you can hand over the car seat. The buggy you can take right up to the aeroplane steps, and the air hostess will put it in the hold.

Baby will sit on your knee during the flight, and they will give you a seat belt extension for her. Take lots of little toys for her, especially things she hasn't seen before, take them out bit by bit to keep her occupied.

Hope that helps!
