We're spending a week in Scarborough from 12/08 (me,dh,dd7,ds4). Spent many hols there as a child & have contacted Tourist info for updates, (no Treewalk Wonderland any more aparantly?!). I'm now looking for the info you don't get from Tourist info, good restaurants etc. Also have heard there's a good pool at Bridlington, some sort of 'Waterworld' type of place?
Thanks

Well theres Peasholme park which has mini golf, a big lake in the middle that you can take a little pedlo out on and loads of geese and ducks to feed. Its nice just to walk around too.
Theres the Sealife Centre at the other side of the bay. You can catch an open top bus to that.

As for Restaurants I'm not entirely sure. There used to be a lovely Italian on the main road that leads from the beach up to the town centre and its at the top.
There is a couple of lovely kids toy shops. One again on the main road from the beach but its at the bottom. They sell all the old teddy bears and brands like Steiff etc (we bought dd's Paddington Bear from there) and also a gadgety type shop which also sells toys that are a bit different. Again towards the top of the road opposite the Lloyds bank.

If you fancy the trip, Robin Hoods bay at Whitby is fab. Mentioned it yesterday on another thread. Loads of rock pools and fossils to be found. A good day out.

Sorry I can't be more help!
