Hotels in Brighton that are child friendly

Looking to stay in Brighton just for one night in September, mid-week. Will just be me and dd who'll be 18 mths by then.

Can anyone recommend a not too expensive hotel? Stayed in the travel lodge a few years back with dh and it was grim. Doesn't have to be in the centre. Visiting FIL in Sussex and thought we could spend a day in Brighton on the way home.

I tried a thread on this ages ago - and came up with nothing really. Apparently the Hotel du Vin is OK for kids and there are generally parents with baby monitors in the restaurant most nights, but it's v exp. Sorry not to be of much help, but I drew a blank. Alias Hotel Seattle was the only other recommendation, but again isn't cheap.

premierlodge is ok, as is the Hilton. Really depends what you want to pay tho. Kings hotel and Queens Hotel are pretty good, but not 5 star!
