What do you do in this country if you go in a taxi?

Hi, I'm off on a four-day break to France in September with my son, Alex. He’ll be 6 months old then. He drinks about 4-5 bottles of formula a day, but I’m not keen to lug all his sterilising equipment with us. I also don’t want to buy extra equipment when we’re out there, as this will be so wasteful. Has anyone any ideas/tips about how I can go on holiday without taking the usual bottle-feeding paraphernalia?

Microwave steriliser bags

Could you fit 20 "steribottles" in your luggage? Failing that, and if you don't have access to a microwave just take a large-ish tupperware container with you (you'll need something to pack bottles, etc in anyway and some milton sterilising tablets. I managed with this for 10 days in Italy.

playtex disposable liners with bottle holders and noraml teats. Google it and there definitely a Uk website that sells them. you may be able to get away with using the liner inside his normal bottle (never tried).

Try a steribottle first though - my LO refused them

jaamy · 17/08/2006 13:38

Yeah, steribottles are a funny shape!

Mothercare has a self sterilising bottle, all you'll need is somewhere with a microwave.

Milton sterilising bags, holds about 4 bottles and comes with tablet in, so throw away when finished.
