Riu Yucatan Hotel, Mexico - anyone been since this summer's refurb?

Looking at going to the Riu Yucatan in Playacar in feb. It was refurbished this summer & I've read some mixed views on trip advisor. Just wondered if any of you had been and what your thoughts were?

Yes we were there last 2 weeks august, previously there mid July 2011 so seen it before and after. It's lovely! All the pool and bars have been redone, water sports and miss club huts too. New sun beds and cabanas. Had a fantastic time and thought it more like the palace next door now. Significant improvement to what it was. Avid the tequila like the plague though as it's a grot pit!!
