Jamaica or Dominican Repbublic?

Looking to book for 2 weeks end of Jan 2014. Narrowed it down to one hotel in each country but there is a price difference of £550 between the two.

Have been to DR before and liked it.

Just wondered if anyone had been to both and if they had a preference?

I've been to both and liked Jamaica the best. I found the people really welcoming and proud of their beautiful country and there was lots of good trips.
