baby friendly places in SE London?

This is more of a question than a suggestion though I have a few favourite places I take dd.

Greenwich Maritime Museum is v. nice with wave machines and lots of stomping areas for mobile babies and there's a lovely play park in the beautiful park outside when the weather's finer.

Tate Modern can be good but can get v. busy.

The Imperial War Museum is good, especially for boys as it's full of tanks and boats and some reconstructions of things like bunkers which are quite exciting.

But as you'll see these are all museums and I'm a bit stuck to find other purely baby friendly places.

Horniman museum in Forest Hill is excellent and is in the middle of a lovely park. All the parks, inc Dulwich and Ruskin (with friendly squirrels - take nuts!). The whole South Bank - the festival hall has fantastic areas to run about in and child-friendly exhibitions. Street theatre in Covent Garden (not really local). The Livesey Museum on the Old Kent Rd. Swimming pool at Brixton. Do you mean places you can bear to go to?

Thanks for these Aloha. I take it you live in the same sort of area to me?

I'll definitely try the Livesey on Old Kent Rd., v. close to me.

Brockwell Park is a MUST in summer - paddling pool, cafe, play ground, 'secret' walled garden, ponds and ducks, endless rolling grass for picnics and an open air lido for those really hot days.... At the lido there are also baby massage and baby yoga classes, as well as singing and dancing for littlies at Whippersnappers. And during the rest of the year, a great place for little people to run about and let off steam. For more details check the website out brockwell park
