Off to Edinburgh tomorrow on day trip from Newcastle with dds 14 and 7 and ds 12
Inspired by watching Sunshine on leith and would love to find the cafe they have a (singing) row in - the one with the amazing view over the city.
Anyone know where it is? Any other top suggestions for fun day out also welcome probably going to be wet:)
Thanks

There you go OP. Have a lovely day. Edinburgh is fabulous even in the rain. The top floor of the National Museum of Scotland is brilliant, interactive kids stuff - natural history, dinosaurs etc. And downstairs there's a great room with music, dressing up etc. The cafe is very crushed at lunch time so maybe take your own lunch, there is space near the back entrance for people to sit and eat.

Have just returned from 3 days in Ed with DS15 - we looked around "Gledstone's House" on the royal mile - an example life 400 years ago... And we were told to go to Bell's Diner in Stockbridge (5mins taxi/15 mins walk) for their 'awesome' burgers and milkshakes - they were!

Sorry Carrie - just realised I'm a bit late replying... Hope you've had fun! On our list for next time is a haunted underground walk...
