We have had a great offer from GParents. They will come up to our house for a week in october and look after DS to allow me and DH time away.

We've had a really tough year with illness, job changes and sleep issues so this would be a great break.

He will be 18 months old and has stayed with them before and stayed with his other GParents while we went for an overnight in a hotel.

Er, what's the dilemma? GO!

I guess because he has been ill i'm worried he will be miserable.
Plus he hasn't ever stayed on his own with this set of GParents. I was going to ask his babysitter to do a few hours plus his uncle to pop over so he has as many familiar faces as possible.

I'm hoping that by being in his own house/cot and going to his usual playgroups he'll feel fine.

God I really want this break!

thanks all!

we're organising it now. I'm not usually one for getting all worried about this type of thing - I happily lef thim for 2 nights with my parents when he was 3 months old! but a week just seemed a different proposition.

GParentsinLaw are coming up in august to visit so he sees them a few weeks before they look after him.
