Real snow every day at Diggerland in Kent !!!

They have a snow-making machine. Just thought you'd like to know about this.

www.diggerland.com or tel 08700 344437

Entry is £2.50 per child or adult - but go to daysoutuk website and download vouchers that entitle you to half price entry.

The park offers a mixture of real diggers that children can operate (and a scary digger ride - you sit in the scoop bit). There's a big snow slope where older children and adults can have ski or snowboard lessons. You pay extra for all of the above.

But there are attractions that are free on entry: there's a small snow play area - free sledges and slippery slopes suitable for over threes - under threes would need close supervision. Also a sit-on toy tractor area, and a computer room with digger games and a bouncy castle.

The baby changing faclities are a bit messy - mud and snow seem to get everywhere - but I suppose that can't be helped. The 'Dig In Cafe' is, as you'd expect, very child friendly.

A good outing for a variety of ages - both my 4 year old and my 9 year old enjoyed it equally.

The snow will be there till the end of March, unless the weather gets very mild - see pictures of it on the excellent website.

I second recommendations for Diggerland ... we took the boys to the one in the SW - near Taunton, I think, when the boys were 3 and 5, and they loved it. The following year my parents took the boys to the one in County Durham, and they all enjoyed it - especially my dad!

On lots of the diggers a toddler or small child can sit free on the lap of an adult. So a 'go on everything' wristband can be an entertaining present for a dad or grandpa of tiny children, and results in fun for all.
