Weekend stay in Uk...help!!

Me and my partner have been together 3 years and its coming up to his birthday. We dont get much time together as just a couple, as i have a 6yo from a previous relationship and we also have our 10 month baby. Ideally we need a break, to just wake up and relax completely!
I want to book into a hotel for a treat for his birthday, but only looking to stay in a premier inn/travelodge as we cant afford much but i need help on ideas as to where to go that would be nice and peaceful and the sort of place we just literally relax....

Are you looking for suggestions of where to go? Any idea of how far you would travel from where?
Groupon is always good to have a look at. The Getaways section does cheap deals and the local section will have offers on restaurant dining and activities-there's also a similar site which just does offers on spa days if you're thinking that kind of thing? You don't have to have treatments-they'll often do ones where you just go and use the facilities (pool/sauna) and have afternoon tea?

Groupon is great. We have done several groupon/ livingsocial deals that have worked out really well, and cost around the same as travelodge/ premier inn prices but with breakfast and dinner included for one of the nights.
