Thinking of a day trip (possibly mid-week). DS is 8 - we've been to Alum Bay, the Needles but what else?

Carisbrooke Castle - they do a good Halloween tour.

Hovercraft over! Then underground/steam train around? You can get a road train from/to Sandown and Shanklin town/pier/station/chine during the summer.

Thank you. I'll have a good look around. I was wondering about going on Thursday when DS's school is closed (strike)
