Hello,

I am just wondering if anyone can give me some advice or suggestions on good companies to use that I can rent a car seat from over the xmas period that doesn't cost an arm and a leg!
I don't have children but I am driving my 18 month old niece and family to family xmas do!
None of my friends/family have young enough children to have small car seats, or if they do they will be in use!

cheaper to buy than rent. It is really the responsibility of the family to provide a car seat for the child - if they usually drive, they just take the car seat out of their car and lend it to you. Or they buy a cheapie from Tesco etc for about £30.

or even a slightly used one - they go for peanuts on ebay etc. Yes, of course you have to be careful that it has not been dropped.

Buy one. It will be cheaper and better than renting. Can't your sibling lend one to you?

We have bought inflatable car seats to save space on foreign holidays etc. reasonable cost and so easy to store!

That won't work for a 18 month old.
