My husband has been offered a job working in his company's Stamford office. We currently live in London. We are waiting to hear back from HR about his salary and relocation package. He currently earns the equivalent of $160,000 a year. Could we live off this salary as a family of 3 in Stamford? We were thinking of renting an apartment in Stamford so that my husband could walk to work. Are there any hidden costs with renting an apartment? Do you have to pay an equivalent of council tax etc...? Can anyone tell me what bills would come on top of the monthly rent (ie water bills/gas etc...) Any tips for us? We have a 3 year old son.
