Cost of Eurotunnel in July?

Thinking about our family holiday next year....prices not out for Eurotunnel in July 2014, but roughly how much would a car (Citroen C4 Picasso) and 2 adults, 1 teen and 1 child cost?

Absolute maximum it would have been this year is £199 each way. That's for a flexi ticket. I think this summer we paid £80 one way and £140 the other. That was for August and we booked late. Doesn't matter how many passengers you have- you just pay for the car.

What's a flexi ticket?

I think it's when you can just turn up and get on. Not entirely sure to be honest but will tell you on the website. Even if you book a standard ticket you can still change the date etc although you may have to pay more. We changed our ticket a week before travelling to a day which would have been much cheaper but didn't get money back.

The earlier you book, and the more awkward the crossing time, the cheaper the trip.

But as said above - the max it can be is £199 each way, on the flexi ticket.

The price is standard for the car - and up to 9 (?) passengers I believe.

In recent years we have travelled early mornings outwards and evenings home wards. Prices have been between £120 and £190.

We left it late this summer to book, and ended up using the Dover Calais ferry instead - as it was less than half the price that the Eurotunel was going to cost.
