Sydney - apartment/hotel recommendations?

Hi, can anyone please recommend an apartment/hotel for 3 nights in Sydney please? Close to all the sights, have 3 young children (7,3,1) and don't know where to start looking. Will be going in Feb.

Have you tried looking on Wimdu? People let out spare rooms/property to short term holiday makers. We stayed in a lovely apartment 10 minutes from Sydney CBD last year for about AU$30 a night.

We stayed in an apartment at the Meriton World Tower just next to Darling Harbour. Had the most amazing views over the city. Would not hesitate to book again.

Try looking at Wotif.com. We booked through them about a month before our trip and had a great deal for a high rise apartment in Central Sydney with a supermarket in the basement. It might give you an idea of what is available.
