Caribbean for Easter, summer at Abersoch and then off to New Zealand to see relatives next Christmas!

TheHappyCamper · 19/10/2013 20:55

Nothing booked yet, but all planned. We are doing a huge road trip around france, taking a month, staying on 5 campsites (one on lake geneva) and finishing at DLP for 2 days at the end. Starts aug 1st but we are excited already!

I love the idea of getting the train down through Italy (scribbling that down for 2015) Grin

Loving reading these-just read a thread about Sardinia and the lakes and want to investigate that now. Been to Amalfi coast and Tuscany before but never the lakes-just not sure what the self catering accommodation would be like-with 3 dc's we can't really do hotels.

My partner and myself are hoping to go back to Thailand next year, very exciting! Grin

Skiing in Austria, short break in barcelona at Easter and can't decide yet about the summer.

Got 4 athletics tickets for glasgow but there are 5 of us (1 adult ticket short - max allowed was 4 - grrr) so not sure whether to bother with the games or not.

Looking at Croatia for the summer and maybe camping in wales or France. Sounds a lot reading it back but we love our holidays. Can't wait!

A week in Barcelona in May or June for family fun - sea, parks, museums, food.

Maybe a weekend in Rome or Istanbul with DH depending on finances and babysitters.

Summer camping too, I imagine.

Martinborough, New Zealand in February 2014 Wine as it's a wine growing region. Southern Hemisphere summer. It's about a three hour drive from where we live here in NZ. The last Friday of our one week holiday will be St Valentines Day Wine Cake Flowers.

conorsrockers · 25/11/2013 03:44

Oooooh, some great trips on here Grin
We are going skiing at the end of March in France, then on to South Africa for some safari action stopping at Atlantis the Palm in Dubai on the way back. Can't wait!
Also trying to book a last minute to Rome or Lapland this Christmas but can't decide - DS1 wants Rome and the little ones want Lapland, but the Canterbury travel reviews are putting me off Confused

motherstongue · 01/12/2013 22:13

Going to Rome (just the two of us for anniversary) in May. First holiday without the kids for 15 years.

Also going to London for a few days in May.

Whole family going to Mauritius in August.

theoriginalandbestrookie · 02/12/2013 17:02

Skiing Feb half term, posh looking mansion ( with it's own golf course!) for Easter with SIL and family, France in the summer and Tenerife in October - I may have overbooked Blush.

nannyafrica · 03/12/2013 22:22

self drive around Cuba, doing a tour in Iran, safari in Zambia and Malawi and trying to get a sneaky week in Sri Lanka as I love it there.

EarlAdams · 06/12/2013 17:42

I don't have any plan yet, but i'm sure my 2014 will be a great year for traveling.

HelloClouds · 08/12/2013 13:34

Spending (at least!!) two weeks in our villa in Andalucia in summer, kids are desperate to go back again to play in the pool!!
Other plan is to drive round the Scottish highlands - still planning the route and hotels.

Ruthiebabes · 08/12/2013 17:46

Five days in a cottage complex in North Devon for May bank holiday. Ten days in Lanzarote over May Half term and two weeks in Ireland in August.

sailorsgal · 09/12/2013 21:45

No plans as yet but have a big birthday next year. Thinking of trying another of the Sensatori resorts maybe Tenerife. Santorini for just dh and me in September and NYC for a few days next Christmas. Grin

diabolo · 12/12/2013 22:17

Back to rural Menorca end of July/beginning August. Lovely villa booked again, favourite restaurants waiting to see us. Can't wait!

3 weeks in USA followed by a 23 day cruise from LA to Sydney. Very excited as none of us have been to USA before.

Australia in February.

Easter and summer to be decided.

makemineapinot · 27/12/2013 20:21

Just booked 2 weeks in Crete! Looking at a rail trip of Italy for 2015... And hopefully somewhere at Easter!

lade · 27/12/2013 21:11

Two weeks in Scotland to watch the Commonwealth games.

Offered the DDs a choice of: EuroDisney, Spanish beach holiday or Commonwealth Games. Unfortunately for us, they chose the games...

The actual holiday wasn't too bad (1k), but the tickets added considerably to the price. A Spanish beach holiday would have been much cheaper!

makemineapinot · 27/12/2013 23:58

Lade, I'm I'm Ayrshire so shout if you need tips on where to go etc! A trip to Arran (ferry from Ardrossan) and Big Cumbrae (ferry from Largs) are musts!! If you go to Largs you must have a nice cream from Nardinis!! Lots to do free or cheap in Glasgow too - you will love it!

lade · 28/12/2013 00:10

Ooh, I will ask you nearer the time, if you don't mind. We decided to stay in Ayr, as all the accommodation in Glasgow was so chuffing expensive.

I am looking forward to it, but gymnastics is the sport my DDs do and love.... We've got tickets to go and watch it 4 times (a few girls from my DDs' club will hopefully be competing) and whilst I like gymnastics, I'm not sure I like it that much.... Grin

Also, not looking forward to the drive as we live in South West England.

But will be nice, I'm sure.
