I am so glad at least 1 other person has 2015 already planned.

We are going to a farmhouse in Verdee for 2 weeks, with a possible stop off at Disneyland Paris on the way back for our 2015 holiday.

CalamityJones · 07/10/2013 09:34

Croatia for a fortnight with dh and dd in July, followed by ten days in the Maldives with dh over my birthday at the end of the year. It's dh's 40th the following spring and he's always wanted to visit Russia (of Russian descent) so

CalamityJones · 07/10/2013 09:35

(dd helping there) depending on babysitting favours, might take him to Moscow next winter as an early birthday gift.

calamity I may be biased as I spent a year working there but Moscow is AWFUL for a whole host of reasons which I could go into at length...do St Petersburg instead.

allmycats · 07/10/2013 09:54

Dubrovnik early May
and then caravan breaks during the year

fluffydressinggown · 07/10/2013 09:56

We booked our 2014 holiday on Saturday. Off to Santorini for two weeks in June.

CreamyCooler · 07/10/2013 10:44

Stickingbishop, I went to St Petersburg this summer and loved it. If you like art and history it's an amazing place to visit.

CalamityJones · 07/10/2013 13:19

Oh, really StinkingBishop? That's extremely useful to know. He fancied Moscow for no good reson other than fancying Moscow, there are no particular ties to that specific city - I shall certainly look at St Petersburg instead, thank you very much for the advice!

KatyPutTheCuttleOn · 07/10/2013 13:23

Absolutely, yes. Not sure what but I think it'll involve a tent, Scotland and some ferry travel.

LtEveDallas · 07/10/2013 13:27

Considering taking DD out of school (We are moving, so will withdraw her from old school a week early, and start her at new school a week late) to do Disneyworld in June - cant afford it otherwise.

If we don't do that then we will probably go back to Hurghada in Aug.

stinkingbishop · 07/10/2013 14:00

The Kremlin, Red Square, all v impressive. But the traffic is appalling - 2 hours to get anywhere. Architecturally it's a bit meh. And it's just, well, I kept getting mistaken for a prostitute, and men would proposition me and working ladies slap me for being on their patch...it's capitalism gone mad with ladies wearing the price tags hanging out of their clothes deliberately...unless you're a 30something bloke you can't get anywhere in life...they have the 'spring flowers' which is when the snows met, revealing the corpses of homeless people who were frozen to death (usually old women who managed to survive communism but then were cast aside)...corruption a-plenty...your car will get stopped all the time for ministers...hard to get proper taxis and you often get fleeced...and VERY expensive to eat/drink out and hotels (more than London). It's just cold and hard and bling-centric.

Whereas St P is beautiful and more set up for visitors and has the art and the music and the ballet and is just lovely.

Sorry to any Russians reading this. Maybe it's just me!!! I bloomin' love the countryside though, and would love to go to Kamchatka and Lake Baikal.

Rosvita · 08/10/2013 10:08

We have a cheeky weekend in Amsterdam (minus kids) in a few weeks for dh's 30th birthday. For next year a relatively cheapish holiday to Spain with the dc in may half term to spend a few days with relatives and then a few nights in a hotel.ds misses 1 day of school but has been authorised by school as booked prior to toughening up of regulations. We booked flights early so managed to get then relatively cheaply.Saving for florida holiday in 2015 all though we haven't booked that yet!

Hersetta · 09/10/2013 10:20

We have a week at the Holiday village Tunisia in May half term and a fortnight in August at the Holiday Village in Kos. Will also take the kids to visit my Mum in Spain at Easter and in July.

Considering a week in Egypt for Xmas - still mulling over that one though.

cheerup · 09/10/2013 18:58

So far we're booked for Feb half term at Centerparcs De Vossemeren in Belgium, Chateau des Marais in the Loire, France for Whitsun. Keeping the summer free for a late Aug camping trip, probably to France. Smile

CaurnieBred · 12/10/2013 15:45

DH and I skiing for a long weekend in Germany in March, up home to Scotland for a week in July for the Commonwealth Games and then 10 days in Menorca all inclusive in August (when we booked in June there were only 10 day holidays left for August 2014 with free child places).

SooticaTheWitchesCat · 14/10/2013 10:13
