Countryside day out near London - like Box Hill, but not Box Hill

Where else is near London, accessible by train, countryside and fun for kids? I'd love to go back to Box Hill this weekend - we went this time last year, but the friends we're going with have just been and want to go somewhere else?

We are SE London and they are SW and we're meeting up for the day on Sunday.

Any ideas gratefully received!!
