Just wanted to say another thank you, Janinlondon. I found a brilliant service on the link you gave me, which will take the car from us at the terminal and bring it back to us when we return - especially good as we're going from Terminal 4 which is a bit further. It's more expensive, obviously, but not that much more, and could make the difference between us spoiling the end of the holiday by shouting at each other and making it bearable. Thanks again MN!

Just wanted to give an update. Purple parking meet and greet service was absolutely brilliant. We arrived at the terminal and they were there waiting for us, and took our car from us. When we got back, we just phoned them from the baggage carousel place and when we came out, there they were with our car.
Yes it was a bit more expensive, but after a heavy transatlantic journey with kids, worth every penny not to have to argue over shlepping out to the airport carpark.
Thoroughly recommend.

We've used them before and they were excellent. Definitely worth the extra expense.
