Calpe, Costa Blanca

Hi

We are off to Calpe on a villa holiday at the beginning of May. We are taking our 2 year old daughter, we will be hiring a car, can anybody recommend any trips, things to do, see with toddlers, places to eat out etc.

Terra Mitica
Mundomar

Terra Mitica and Mundomar are in Benidorm - just a short hop up the coast. The new aquarium in Valencia (about an hour North) is fabulous. Calpe beaches are OK, but the Arenal beach in Javea and Denia beaches are better. Places to eat? Take your pick! Go to the Port in Calpe for the best seafood/fish places. Denia has good places - the Indonesian restaurant on the Las Marinas road in Denia is excellent. I found that in years of taking my own children to visit the relatives the Costa Blanca is best for beaches as far as toddlers are concerned. The playgrounds are awful, and parks just don't exist in the Brit way.
