Help finding somewhere to stay in Blackpool over October half term.

Hi everyone. I was really hoping to take the kids to see the Blackpool illuminations over October half term, but it looks like I've left it too late to book somewhere reasonable. We usually stay in a Travelodge or Premier Inn but these are all fully booked. If anyone knows of anywhere reasonable to stay for 2 nights over half term I would be so grateful, either that or it looks like it will be just a trip down for the day, which from the Midlands is quite a jaunt. Thanks for your help.

We've stayed here a couple of times in the past. Nice clean rooms, lovely food and staff and a great kids club.

Have a look at St Ives Hotel in Lytham which is'nt far, hotel is lovely and very nice food.
