12 yo days out, an hour from Leicester?

Any ideas gratefully recived, boy and girl aged 12, like outdoor activity type things, already been to Space Centre

My kids liked Conkers. Good outdoors run about place with zip wires and lots to muck about on!

Is Belvoir castle too far?
Obviously you must know Charnwood Forest well.
Too old for steam engines?

Yes Conkers is good. Also Irchester country park has an activity trail type thing www.jungleparc.co.uk that's about an hour away. Its a nice place to go for walks as well.

Twycross zoo?
