Romantic long weekend away (no kids!), Ideas on where??

We have decided what the hell- lets do it, after our parents offering to look after the children, and us to "enjoy a break"

DH and I would love a couple of nights to ourselves, as a treat ! and it will be our first time on our own in 5 years ( Have 3 children under 5).

Would like to throw the boat out and go abroad, Have thought Barcelona, Venice, Paris etc stuck for choice!!
Any ideas please ? I want this to be really special- the thought of going out without children/pushchairs/nappy bags etc is bliss !
Thanks

Am convinced you will love either of following:-

Marrakech - stay in luxury at Riad Azzar in the medina, run by dutch couple, plunge pool and rooftop terrace and they will book you in to fab restaurants and hammams and stuff. four-poster beds and marble roll-top baths... 200 euros a night see www.riadazzar.com

UK - go to Whatley Manor near bath (but only if you can do mid-week, too busy at weekends) Romantic luxury with michelin-starred restaurant and one of best spas in country - even my DH can't wait to go back. In some of the spa showers the water itself comes out scented, and there is a very kinky massage/spa treatment session for couples only where basically the therapists work on you both side by side to get you both 'in the mood' then they leave you in luxury private spa room to sh*g (though the friends I know who have done it are exahusted parents and fell asleep ) Also loads of different steam rooms and relaxation rooms all free of charge if you don't want to book the therapists. It is not a cheap place but I know four other couples who have been and all agree it is the very best place to go for a quick break from the kids and we'd all go again at the drop of a hat... and no flights and other stresses to worry about. see www.whatleymanor.com

Cringe at the idea of some cat arse faced therapist called Krystal or something, getting one in the mood to shag.
No way!!!

Whatley Manor does look fantastic, and 30 minutes away! For 3 nights there, we could go abroad for a week! but the sound of the spa and the wave relaxation room.....ahhhhhh

Wisp, go to Whatley it's so easy, no airports, queues, airport parking, wasting precious time in waiting lounges. Barcelona is great, but Whatley is heavenly!! We really want to go back.

Oooh Im very tempted as it's on our doorstep!!
I'll try the hard sell to DH mentioning the shaggin room!!!

Or go even more left-field and try Tallinn in Estonia. Stunningly beautiful Old Town, fascinating and friendly country. English spoken widely...
