Praia Da Luz, Portugal, anyone been??

Thinking of going to Portugal in October (see other thread), and quite fancy this area. Have never been before, so would welcome any recommendations on this area and others.Will be taking 2yr old ds.

Who are you thinking of booking with ? We've been trying to pin Mark Warner down but their revised brochure is proving elusive !

had not decided on accomadation yet, just looking at various apartments etc.

I went to Burgau just down the coast a while ago - it's smaller and a bit more atmospheric / villagey than Luz - but then I like v low key holidays. But the bay was perfect for 2 yr olds, with some big rock pools at the far end for when the waves are big. (the whole of this coast is close to the Atlantic, so occasionally 'exciting' waves - but not ones that keep you out of the water)
