My friend has suggested we go away for a week which is good nd says she fancies Wawsaw.
I've only spent time in Zakapane so don't no know much about Wawsaw.

We don't have to stay there all week and can move on.

Any ideas or thoughts?

Dress warmly! It'll probably be freezing. Loads of good bars and restaurants, a lot of the city is full of hideous communist architecture (but did you see Warsaw after WWII?) but the Old Town (Stare Miasto) was rebuilt beautifully. Some amazing museums - check out the Uprising Museum www.1944.pl/ it's brilliant.

Thanks for that DancingLady.
I must say I am used to Eastern European countries in the winter and as I am going by a very low cost airline as usual I will be wearing two coats and my walking boots to board!!
