Conference Centre Dublin: which hotel?

I have to attend a thing at the National Conference Centre in Dublin next month and wonder which hotel you would recommend. I have looked at the Clarion (seems closest), The Morgan, The Drury Court, The Gresham. Haven't a clue which one to pick! Any recommendations???

Drury Court - miles away!

Gresham - nice hotel but a bit of a trek and Upper O'Connell st not the nicest area.

Clarion nice I think, & handiest location.

Morgan - lovely, but further than Gresham. Busiest area socially - temple bar can be v lively!

Google the map of the Luas Red Line to judge transport - conf centre & Clarion are right beside it.

I would recommend you look at The Gibson, new, modern and within walking distance or The Marker Hotel, a swanky new one just across the river. If your budget is a bit lower, try The Maldron Hotel, Cardiff Lane, again, just across the river and about 4 mins walk, or Jury's Inn, Dublin Custom House, a short 5 min walk up the river. The Clarion is close by too, the others you mention are a little less convenient. Hope this helps :)
