Well I have no expreience yet, but we're doing an 11hr flight when ds will be 13m. I'm tempted just to take an overnight to London to test the water IYSWIM! I've been gathering tips on here re toys and keeping him amused, but I really think it will be a lot less hassle for you. IS the flight just about 3hrs? Is he breastfed? If so, I would just say feed him when and where neccessary, forget a routine as he'll be all confused anyway. I would say put off weaning him (solids) till after your trip if you can. I've been advised to take new toys on the flight, things he's never seen before, which will amuse him for longer. If he is on solids, take a good supply of finger food, rice cakes, fruit, bread etc. Obviously water as he'll become quite dehydrated. If he uses a grobag I would suggest that. Or any familiar blankets/comforters/teddies etc. Are you going to be staying with family (ie can you borrow feeding equip. or bath etc) or are you in a hotel? I also read a suggestion that pull up nappies are much handier for the flight but this may not be poss for a 6m old. HTH
