I just go to moneysupermarket and choose the cheapest. But read all the t&c's and make sure it covers you for everything!

The Post Office ones are good - not necessarily cheapest, but covers things like collapse of a scheduled airline which most other insurers exclude, and children are covered free under their parents' policies.

no such thing as 'best'. Just make sure it covers what you plan to do, where you are going, and that you don't break any of the conditions.

scheduled airline failure cover cost £1 last time I bought it.
