Can I take my baby to France on holiday without a passport?

That's it really! Chance of a nice villa holiday with friends has just come up, but it's in a couple of weeks and I don't think we'll have time to get tiny new baby a passport.

no, you can't. You could try going directly to one of the issuing offices and getting one on the day - but apparently it's not guaranteed.

No even babies have to have their own passport
You can book an app at passport office to get it same day but it will cost a fortune!

I'm not even sure if the Same Day service applies to first passports.

DS2s renewal came back in under 3 weeks though so you might be lucky if you use the check-and-send service from the POffice

my childrens passports came back in 8 days using the check and send service at post office.

You will need a passport for baby.

www.passports.gov.uk is the website you need to read before you start applying. The premium service is though not available for people applying for their first passport.
