Mediterranean Holidays suitable for extended families

Hello everyone. We have had some great family holidays with our DGC and are looking for suggestions for summer 2014.

We would like somewhere in the Med with good sandy beaches, not too far to travel from the airport but not overdeveloped (eg not Benidorm!).

We would be two active grandparents, two parents and a 5 and 8 year old. The boys are quite active, love swimming and would like to be around other children, so some sort of holiday complex might be good.

Anyone been anywhere they could suggest?

Cambrils Park in Spain. A Resort about 45 minutes away from Barcelona.
It's got everything and cheap too. You will have to book your own flights and transport yourself from the airport. However, the park is close to the railway station. Train is direct from Barcelona.
